Prashant is currently teaching Columbia Business School’s first course in advanced analytics and AI. The course delves into technology’s practical uses in retail, and the resulting transformation of the retail landscape from the present day to five to ten years hence as AI and machine learning change every aspect of the retail value chain—from the supply chain to merchandising to marketing to store operations to e-commerce and all the way down to product design.
Prashant is a recognized thought leader, having produced content as a columnist and contributing editor for GQ India; as a columnist for Mint-Wall Street Journal; as an op-ed contributor to the New York Times, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Times of India, the Hindustan Times, Indian Express, and CNBC; as well as a regular contributor to such respected trade journals as Chain Store Age, Food Logistics, Retail Today, and Retail Touchpoints.
Prashant founded (and still runs) Impact Analytics, an AI-powered retail merchandising and supply chain company. His background includes roles as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and the Boston Consulting Group. In 2023 Prashant was shortlisted for an Ernst & Young regional Entrepreneurship of the Year award and was honored as a Top 20 Data Sciences Services Company CEO by AIM Research.
