Kris Satterthwaite is GM / Head of Sales for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) US-Retail and CPG

business. He is passionate about Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (ID&E) and has served on the

AWS Advisory Board. Kris loves Amazon’s Customer Obsessed culture and entrepreneurial

spirit.

Prior to joining AWS in 2018, Kris worked at Cisco Systems for 13 years where he led

several global Enterprise customer teams. Kris began his technology sales career with Intel in

1995 and served in a variety of roles including the District Sales Manager responsible for HP’s Personal Systems Group.

Kris graduated Summa Cum Laude from Howard University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Kris loves mentoring, coaching, and

helping people achieve their dreams.

Kris met his wife (Krista) in Houston and they have 1 son (Alec-34yrs old) and 2 granddaughters (Ania-10yrs old and Jace-9yrs old). During his spare time, Kris enjoys reading self-help and business books, working out, discovering new beaches, educating people on financial literacy, and cheering on his Philadelphia Eagles.
