Mark Breitbard is a veteran global retail executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning brand management, merchandising, product, creative and transformation. He currently serves as President and CEO of Gap Brand, where he has led the global business since 2020 and has focused on revitalizing the business - which began with restructuring the brand, sharpening brand positioning, strengthening product and delivering exceptional storytelling.

Mark has spent a significant portion of his career within Gap Inc. Across multiple tenures, he has held senior roles at Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic. From 2010 to 2013, he was a key leader in the product-led resurgence of Gap North America, ultimately serving as President of Gap North America. He returned to Gap Inc. in 2017 as President and CEO of Banana Republic, where he stabilized the business and expanded sales and operating margin.

Before returning to Gap Inc., Mark served as CEO of The Gymboree Corporation from 2013 to 2017. Earlier in his career, he was President of Levi Strauss & Co.’s retail division, with responsibility across design, merchandising, marketing, stores and e-commerce. He also held senior leadership roles at Abercrombie & Fitch.
