Óscar García Maceiras

Óscar García Maceiras has served as Chief Executive Officer of Inditex since November 2021. He is also a member of the company’s Board of Directors.

He joined Inditex earlier that year as General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors before being appointed CEO.

Prior to joining Inditex, Mr. García Maceiras held senior leadership positions across the financial sector in Spain. He served as Group General Counsel and Deputy Secretary of the Board of Directors at Banco Santander.

Previously, he was Managing Director of Corporate Development and Legal Affairs, General Counsel, and Secretary of the Board at SAREB, Spain’s asset management company established as part of the country’s banking-sector restructuring. He also held senior legal and governance roles at Banco Popular and Banco Pastor.

Mr. García Maceiras began his career as Abogado del Estado (Spanish State Attorney), serving in A Coruña from 2001 to 2005.

He holds a law degree from the University of A Coruña and a Ph.D. in Law from CEU San Pablo University.
