Knowing early on that she wanted to grow her career with the company, Shaye spent the first few years learning about the business within the stores, working in a variety of assignments from salesperson to department manager. This led her to taking the role of NW regional manager for the designer apparel division. Throughout these assignments, Shaye developed a strong sense of passion for the customer and stores. In 2008, she helped pilot the evolution of Nordstrom’s Personal Styling programs, as well as the newly added Customer Relationship Management program.
Over the next few years, she found herself stepping into multiple, newly designed assignments at a pivotal time of evolution for the company. Shaye joined the newly formed personalization team in 2010, as a personalization specialist and eventually a product/project manager. Shaye worked to build bridges between the company’s technical and frontline teams, supporting various projects and products that helped define much of the early efforts of building a channel agnostic customer experience.
In 2014, Shaye joined the customer experience organization to help support the integration of Trunk Club, shortly after the acquisition. This combination of experiences gave her a deep appreciation for what it takes to execute innovative and often complex ideas and priorities throughout the organization. In 2016, Shaye helped launch Reserve Online & Try-On In Store (Store Reserve) as well as helped lead various strategic initiatives such as Nordstrom Local and the company’s local market strategy.
