Rodney Thomas is an Associate Professor and Director of the Undergraduate Supply Chain Management Program in the Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Logistics. Prior to becoming a professor, Dr. Thomas held multiple merchandising and logistics positions at Lowe’s as well as several marketing and sales roles at Michelin. He has leveraged his industry experiences to publish over two dozen articles in leading journals like Journal of Retailing, Journal of Supply Chain Management, Journal of Business Logistics, and Industrial Marketing Management.

Dr. Thomas serves as Senior Editor for the Journal of Business Logistics, Editorial Advisory Board Member for the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, and Associate Editor for the Journal of Supply Chain Management. His research interests focus on behavioral aspects of retailing and supply chain management.
