Murf Hall

Director, Store Design
Murf is the director of design planning and production at Nordstrom. His primary responsibilities are to bring the vision of the Design team to life through schematic design, engineering, fabrication, project/design management and installation. He also directly supports the often-complicated world of brand shop-in-shops; primarily with beauty and luxury designer brands, ensuring their brand voice comes to life within the context of a Nordstrom store and customer expectations.

Murf started at Nordstrom in 2003 as a seasonal employee during the holiday season. Prior to Nordstrom, he had experience in the hospitality, fine dining, wedding and entertainment industries.

Outside of Nordstrom, Murf Hall is a founder, owner + designer at Burgess/Hall; a mix of nightclubs, events spaces and bars nestled between Pike & Pine in Seattle. Murf has also served on the board of queer arts organizations and continues to be a fundraiser, sponsor and advocate of queer arts.
