Mary N. Dillon is the President and CEO of Foot Locker, Inc. With over four decades of experience in consumer marketing and operations, she has held several CEO and leadership positions at globally renowned companies such as Ulta Beauty, McDonald’s, PepsiCo, and US Cellular. Notably, she is one of only three female CEOs to helm two Fortune 500 companies. Mary’s leadership style is renowned within the retail industry because of her ability to create work cultures where both leaders and front-line associates’ ideas are valued, solicited, and respected, resulting in optimal enterprise solutions.
At Foot Locker, Inc., Mary spearheaded the Lace Up Plan in 2023, with the vision of “unlocking the inner sneaker head in everyone” by amplifying sneaker culture, strengthening the real estate portfolio, deepening customer loyalty, and becoming a best-in-class omnichannel retailer. Under Mary’s leadership, Foot Locker continues its efforts to invest in, empower, and amplify the Black community through the Company’s Leading Education & Economic Development (LEED) initiative founded in 2020.
Before joining Foot Locker, Mary served as CEO and a member of the Board of Directors at Ulta Beauty for eight years. During her tenure, she more than tripled annual sales and nearly doubled the number of retail locations. Her previous roles include President and CEO of US Cellular and Global CMO at McDonald’s Corporation, where she served for five years and proud to lead the development of the healthier Happy Meal globally. She also held executive positions at PepsiCo, including President of Quaker Foods and VP of Marketing for Quaker Foods and Gatorade.
A native of Chicago, Mary is actively involved in community engagement and philanthropy, previously serving as Chair for the Economic Club of Chicago.
