Head of Global Retail & eCommerce Strategy
Martin Barthel is the global head of e-commerce and retail strategy at Facebook, responsible for developing category-specific strategies to benefit both pure-play and multichannel retailers. Prior to Facebook, Martin worked more than 10 years for eBay. Most recently, he was a member of the German management team, leading the eBay Consumer Electronics, Home & Garden and Motors businesses. Martin started his career as a strategic marketer at fashion brand Chanel and as a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group.
