Prior to joining Carters, John was the Director of Information Security at Domino’s where he led the fraud, cyber emergency response, international security, program management and application security teams. John has over 17 years of information technology experience and over 10 years building and leading high performing information technology and security teams.
Before joining Domino’s, John worked for Target Corporation leading the Security Operation center in the aftermath of Target’s high profile data breach. John also led the post data breach remediation efforts and also led the information security strategy, innovation and program management teams during his tenure with Target Corporation.
John holds a bachelor’s degree in computer based information systems from Howard University in Washington, D.C. , a master’s of business administration from Iowa State University and graduated top of the class from the world renowned CISO Executive program from Carnegie Mellon. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) as well as a Certified Incident Response Handler (CIH) and a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
Cyber security is a major priority at Carter’s, John has been tasked with building a world class information security program that protects company and customer information while enabling Carter’s strategic business objectives.
When he is not busy protecting leading Cyber Security at Carter’s, he enjoys teaching as an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon, travelling with friends and family, playing soccer and enjoying Ann Arbor’s high quality restaurants.
