Fran Horowitz has served as Chief Executive Officer of Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (A&F Co.) since 2017. She joined Abercrombie & Fitch Co. in 2014 as the Hollister Brand President and was promoted to President and Chief Merchandising Officer at A&F Co. in 2015 before taking on her current role as CEO.

Prior to Abercrombie & Fitch Co., Horowitz served as Brand President at Ann Taylor Loft. For nearly eight years, she worked at Express, Inc., rising to the position of Executive Vice President of Women's Merchandising and Design. She also held several merchandising roles for 13 years at Bloomingdales, as well as various positions at Bergdorf Goodman, Bonwit Teller and Saks Fifth Avenue.

As she has proved throughout her career, Horowitz is an expert brand builder, and most recently has led the successful transformation of A&F Co., establishing the company as an industry-leading, global apparel omnichannel specialty retailer. Ms. Horowitz leads with purpose and her commitment to her global associates and customers is showing up in the company’s financial results. By putting the customer first, redefining its brands and evolving its operating model to be more agile, 2023 was a defining year for A&F Co., which achieved its best operating margin in 15 years and increased sales year-over-year. In 2024, Horowitz was named to Fortune’s Most Powerful Women list, Barron’s annual list of top CEOs, Business of Fashion’s ‘BoF 500’ and she received the Women’s Wear Daily Edward Nardoza Creative Leadership award.

Ms. Horowitz serves on the Board of Directors for Bombas, the apparel company with a mission to put thoughtfully designed, essential clothing into the hands and onto the feet of those in need.
