Emma Grede

Emma Grede is a British businesswoman, serial entrepreneur, and philanthropist. She is the Founding Partner of SKIMS, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Good American, Chairwoman of The Fifteen Percent Pledge, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Obama Foundation. Forbes has recognized her among America’s Richest Self-Made Women (2022-2025) and America’s Richest Self-Made Women Under 40 (2022).

In 2016, Emma launched Good American, which debuted with the largest denim launch in history. Now a B-Corp certified enterprise, the company has been honored by Fast Company as one of the “Most Innovative Companies” and is credited with advancing inclusivity in the fashion industry. She subsequently co-founded SKIMS, a solutions-oriented apparel brand valued at $4 billion and named to TIME’s list of the “100 Most Influential Companies.” In 2025, she partnered with designer Kristin Juszczyk, the National Football League, and Fanatics to introduce the sports apparel brand Off Season. She is also an active investor in numerous women-founded consumer brands.

In May 2025, Emma launched Aspire with Emma Grede, a weekly podcast presenting insights from globally recognized leaders. The program addresses professional development, well-being, and business strategy, combining personal narratives with actionable advice.

Her television appearances include serving as a recurring Guest Shark on ABC’s Shark Tank—the first female judge of color—and as the first Guest Dragon on BBC’s Dragon’s Den. She is also Co-Host and Executive Producer of Side Hustlers on The Roku Channel, a series supporting female entrepreneurs.

Emma serves on the Board of Baby2Baby, a nonprofit providing children living in poverty with essential items. Born in London, she resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Swedish entrepreneur Jens Grede, and their four children.
