Corine Vives

Global Retail Industry Lead
Corine Vives is the Global Retail Industry Lead for Avanade, the leading provider of innovative digital and cloud services, business solutions and design-led experiences on the Microsoft ecosystem. In this new position, Corine has responsibility for defining Avanade’s strategy, thought leadership and perspective for the retail industry, as well as its market and solution approaches that address the sector’s unique challenges. In addition, she is responsible for creating and solidifying Avanade’s growth agenda for retail globally, through a direct go-to-market approach (aligned with Avanade’s parent companies, Accenture and Microsoft). Born in France and raised in Barcelona, she is a Global Senior VP within Avanade, and a member of its GEL (Global Executive Leadership), the group that sets the company's global strategic guidelines. Corine has an MBA in Marketing and Management from ESADE Business School, speaks four languages and has built her career on excellence and outstanding performance. She is passionate about the retail and consumer goods industries, from her days at Accenture working with large brands in both industries and then to her successful career at Avanade. She was appointed General Manager of Avanade’s Spanish region in 2014, expanding activities to Portugal and becoming General Manager for Iberia in 2019. In that role she has acted as Customer Director for all industries, as well as having responsibility for the large retail accounts. In 2015, she created Avanade’s European Center of Excellence for Retail, which became global a year later. Corine is committed to the importance of women in management positions and, of course, in technology. During her time as Avanade’s General Manager for Iberia, 50% of the local steering committee have been women.
