Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles at well-known brands like Urban Outfitters, MAC Cosmetics, Estée Lauder, and David Yurman, where he focused on crafting narratives that resonate with customers. With over 20 years of experience in retail and customer technology, Chris knows how a good story fortified by technology can turn a simple shopping trip into something special.
Motivated by a desire to help customers and tackle longstanding challenges in retail, Chris made the leap into the startup world. He launched his first venture to shake up traditional loyalty programs though web3 technology, emphasizing the importance of valuing customers beyond just transactions. After exiting, he and some close friends in retail focused on fixing personalization and founded Discoverist.ai. Here, they created an AI Intent Engine to help retailers understand the customer’s intent in real time, allowing them to create unique eCommerce experiences for every visitor.
