Benedict (Benny) Wagstaff is the Senior Director of Business Development responsible for developing The Trade Desk’s approach to retail media in the Americas. Benny joined The Trade Desk in 2020 and before taking on his current role helped launch TTD’s Certified Service Partner program. Today, he and the team love working with all kinds of retailers, e-tailers (e-commerce first companies), commerce media and data businesses that want to turn their first party data into meaningful revenue streams. This includes managed service RMN’s, API driven solutions and platform partnerships with leading players in the space.

Before The Trade Desk, Benny was the COO of a General Catalyst, Bessemer and Craft Ventures backed startup Visor (focused on data integration), was CEO of Centairo (a startup in the NLP/Machine Learning space) and was at AppNexus for five years, through its acquisition by AT&T, where he held multiple strategic roles. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University where he studied Economics and International Development.

When he isn’t thinking about retail media, he can be found creating environments for human connection (ask him about Tea With Strangers), skiing whatever mountain he can find, learning Bollywood dance to keep up with his wife, riding horses into the sunset, trying to learn the art of espresso or doing his best to mix a mean cocktail.
