Ania Smith

Ania Smith is the CEO of Taskrabbit. She has more than 25 years of experience in global business operations and strategic planning, as well as a passion for multi-sided marketplaces. Since she took the helm in 2020, Taskrabbit has seen fourfold growth and continued expansion across North America and Europe.

Before joining Taskrabbit, Smith was with Uber, where she led courier operations for Uber Eats. Before this, she spent several years in key roles at Airbnb, developing targets and strategy for North America business operations before leading the growth of host services.

Previously, Smith was also with Walmart eCommerce, focusing on strategy and partnerships, and with Expedia, concentrating on the brand’s growth into central and eastern Europe. Earlier in her career, she held several consulting roles. Lending her strategy, e-commerce, and technology expertise, Smith has been on the board of international restaurant chain, Wingstop, since 2022. She also serves on the board of Oakland REACH, a nonprofit organization aiming to tackle the wealth gap through education.

Smith holds a BA degree in economics and political science from the University of South Dakota and an MBA in strategic management and finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
