Abubakarr Bangura, also known as Buba, is a distinguished executive with a successful track record of over 20 years in various leadership roles within the Target Corporation. He currently serves as a Group Vice President and Officer, responsible for overseeing 77 stores in Georgia, Tennessee (Nashville/Knoxville), Alabama (Huntsville), Virginia (Bristol) & Kentucky (Bowling Green) with a total annual sales Revenue of $3.8 billion.
Buba’s professional journey with Target Corporation commenced in 2004 as an intern, where he demonstrated his exceptional work ethic and leadership potential. Over the years, he held multiple positions in the company, including Sr. Director in Pittsburgh and Boston, where he played a pivotal role in driving business growth and development. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in economics and a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from St. John’s University.
In Target Region 300, Buba is also currently spearheading the organization's initiatives to promote a culture that is welcoming, respectful, and inclusive of all individuals. Throughout his career, Buba has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for developing and mentoring his team.
