Target continues to invest in building capacity to meet guest demand – an approach that utilizes the company’s growing sortation center network. Using its stores’ backrooms, Target team members pick and pack digital orders from guests. Packed orders are retrieved several times a day, transported to the nearest sortation center for sorting, and then routed for delivery. Target’s sortation centers, powered by its last-mile delivery capabilities and retail technology company Shipt, help drive speed, productivity and cost efficiency to improve the guest experience. Hear from Target’s Chief Supply Chain and Logistics Officer Gretchen McCarthy and Shipt CEO Kamau Witherspoon on how their joint capabilities bring next-day delivery to more Target guests.
