In this highly competitive retail environment, customer relationships matter and are made more personal by the increasing amount of data available to retailers and brands about shopping habits, perceived needs, etc. There is a steady flow of online and mobile data that we use today to personalize customer interactions. There is, however, a data gap when it comes to understanding shopper behavior in physical stores. This talk will introduce a new, highly-scalable and hardware-free method for bridging this gap using shopper smartphones and mobile apps.
