Mr. Bright brings years of leadership experience at American Express having held positions of increased responsibility in Business Strategy, Sales, Account Management, Partnership Development, Business Travel Operations, and Support Services. Prior to his current role, he led Business Development within the U.S. Consumer Products & Services business, where he was responsible for strategic partnership development and the acquisition of companies and capabilities. Also in U.S. Consumer Products & Services, Mr. Bright was General Manager of Co-Brand Partnerships, responsible for P&L management and growth of Co-Brand relationships, including Costco, Delta and Starwood. Earlier in his career, he led U.S. and global organizations within the Global Business Payments business.
Mr. Bright is a member of American Express’ Global Management Team, a small group of senior organizational leaders who meet regularly to ensure alignment in priorities and address critical business matters. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in International Economics from Pace University and completed an Advanced Executive Management Program at the Wharton School.
