David Takeuchi is a Principal in the Customer Consulting practice of Ernst & Young LLP. David leads the area for Digital & Enterprise Experience Design with an emphasis on innovation and transformation.  
Armed with the ability to understand a client’s business and brand objectives from the vantage point of the customer, David was a founding Partner of Bedrock Consultants an agency acquired by Ernst & Young for thought leadership in innovation and IP that blends strategy, design, and digital providing insights and disruptive operating models that increase revenue growth and improve margins for large enterprises.
Through the acquisition, David served as a co-CEO and founding Partner for Bedrock consultants, a customer-driven strategy and innovation firm that led design thinking projects with key clients (Chevron, Cisco , Comcast, Kaiser Permanente, NIKE, Pfizer, SAP, Salesforce, Viacom, Wells Fargo).  He built a unique integrated “B-school”, “D-school”, “T-school”  team that sparked innovation for clients so they could visualize entire eco-systems.
David was the creative director for Addison Seefeld & Brew out of San Francisco, a leading brand strategy firm where he developed a strategic point of view of how brands work to engage customers.  As part of those perspectives, brands are made up of multiple touchpoint experiences that include the digital, physical, and employee interactions.
Prior to Bedrock, David lead his career with Gensler Associates, the nations top architecture firm in 2012.  For seven years David focused on architectural design with a blend into branded retail environments referred to as “Marketecture.”  
David also serves as the International Vice President for the Retail Design Institute where he brings a community of CX (Customer Experience) professionals, retail designers, UX – developers, ethnographic researchers, and UI - designers to discuss the relationships of how the digital meets the physical customer environments.
